In view of the increasing importance of transport of dangerous goods, the IMCS Group recognised the need of having specialists available whenever information and advice on IMDG cargoes is needed. The IMCS Group was therefore pleased to team up with IMO Advies of Rotterdam (The Netherlands) who joined the IMCS Group as an Affiliate Member back in 2010. After a seagoing career, the managing owner of IMO Advies, Mr. Rob Van Uffelen, worked as Global Manager Dangerous Cargoes for P&O Nedlloyd and Maersk Lines. In 2007, he decided to set up his own company in order to provide training and consultancy services. Ever since he has been involved in prestigious training projects for IMO, different shipping lines (shore and sea staff), local authorities etc... Together with IMO Advies, the IMCS Training Academy developed the IMDG Training course levels 1&2 for the Magellan Academy for Shipping and Transport (MAST) in 2010.
