The IMCS Spain office was set up in 1996 in the port of Santander by Capt. Francis De Lauwer  who moved from Belgium to Spain after having worked for 26 years at sea in all ranks, including 16 years as Master.

The office is suitably located to cover main ports in the Northern part of Spain from Bilbao up to Vigo and provides all sorts of marine survey and consultancy work both for local and international clients. Also other ports in Spain can easily be reached.

In view of the increasing number of appointments In 2011, it was recently decided to expand the office staff in order to incraese flexibility.
